V-TOON TECHNOLOGY + YAMAHA V-MAX SHO = EXHILARATING PERFORMANCE
V-TOON TECHNOLOGY + YAMAHA V-MAX SHO = EXHILARATING PERFORMANCE

Last week Dave Curtis, Vice President of Operations for Manitou, teamed up with Mike Krautkramer, Senior O.E.M. Application Engineer for Yamaha, to test two of Yamaha's brand new SHO engines. Special thanks to the staff at grace Marine in Bettendorf, Iowa for supporting the testing. Was Dave impressed? Read below to find out.

Yamaha’s new, 4.2 liter, naturally aspirated, sleeveless big block design coupled with an SHP hull with V-Toon® Technology, creates a winning combination. The 24’ X-plode cruise paired with the 250 SHO topped 50 MPH. The Yamaha V-Max SHO delivers gravity defying holeshots and arm-stretching acceleration that will definitely impress your passengers and set you back in your seat. The new lightweight design develops an incredible mid-range that enhances the hull’s cat-like reflexes.

Great holeshots, incredible acceleration and strong top end normally equates to poor fuel economy, right? Well, not in this case. Through industry leading four-stroke technology Yamaha was able to deliver all of this as well as class leading fuel economy. The engineers at Manitou consider the V-Max SHO to be an excellent choice when selecting a motor for your new SHP.

Is the V-Max SHO and V-Toon Technology, the perfect marriage? The testing sure put smiles on our faces. But you decide, test drive one today at a dealer near you.
