Hull Design Comparison
The Twin Tube hull design is Manitou's most economic and ideal for shoreline cruises or pulling tubers on water with limited waves and at moderate speeds. New for 2010 is the VP hull designed for faster paced water sports. The VP comes standard with Sea Star hydraulic steering and rides higher in the water than the Twin Tube providing better control in rougher water with a maximum horsepower rating of 150. The SHP hull design is the benchmark of the pontoon industry. With a maximum horsepower rating of 300, the SHP is equipped with power assisted hydraulic steering, positive angle lifting strakes and a larger, deeper center tube allowing you to reach speeds of 50 mph and still turn on a dime. Whether your desire is a day of bare-foot skiing or just bare-knuckle power boating, the SHP is bar none, the fastest, best handling pontoon boat on the water.
